Wes Clark tops Obama’s VP list…. wishful thinking?

UPDATE: Since the older post below, you can click HERE for update on Wes Clark.

*********************

General Wesley Clark has shown some courage, guts and good judgment. He did not trash McCain. He simply paints it as it is: being a fighter pilot does not mean one has the qualifications to be Commander-in-Chief.

Obama used to sound the horn that McCain voted for Iraq and what poor judgment that turned out to be. Yet he was quick to reject Clark’s comments. In fact, he could have used it as an opportunity to show that a respected General knows what he’s talking about.

Obama should apologize to Clark and seriously consider him as VP.

Dan Abrams tries to bait Clark to keep the controversy going, but Clark remains on even keel:

  • As a woman I supported Hillary and I always felt that she had a private deal with Wes Clark to be her VP.
She & Bill have long been connected to him back to Kosovo.

I like him, I’m not a military supporter by any means, and he is a military man, but he would be a great choice to satisfy the conservative right & military people.

And he is very smart, articulate & a West Point graduate.

  • Clark supporter

I would like to see Obama support Clark. He speaks the truth. I want to see Obama stand up for him, and not let others bash him, be a leader and stand by him. I hope he selects him as his VP.

  • Moderate Republican

I find myself in a difficult position. I have most recently voted for Republicans but Bush has been a disaster. I still consider myself a republican to date, but I am most likely in the middle. SOCIALLY LIBERAL! FISCALLY CONSERVATIVE!! I would have a hard time voting for Obama UNLESS he were to have someone like Wes Clark as VP. I haven’t seen much from either side of the aisle so I like the change that Obama is pitching mixed with the military experience of Clark. After all, we are still in a war that needs to be handled! If Obama picks Clark, he gets my vote! Otherwise, I will try McCain…..reluctantly.

  • I actually think Clark would make a great VP. I’ve always liked and admired him.
