What a nice guy.
It’s already been reported that McCain once called his wife Cindy a “trollop” and “c*nt” in front of a small group of reporters in Arizona.
Now we hear that when McCain first ran for the Senate in 1986, he allegedly told a crude joke about a woman being raped by an ape and loving it.
Have you heard “the one about the woman who is attacked on the street by a gorilla, beaten senseless, raped repeatedly and left to die?… When she finally regains consciousness and tries to speak, her doctor leans over to hear her sigh contently and to feebly ask, ‘Where is that marvelous ape?’ “
He supposedly told this joke at an appearance before the National League of Cities and Towns in Washington D.C.
McCain denies ever having told the joke. However, Norma Coile, the original reporter of the story, professes that many outraged women repeated the joke to her so she felt that it did occur. At the time the McCain campaign issued a “non-denial denial” (very much in line with how they responded to the “c*nt” remark).
In 1998 McCain tried to tell a joke to a Republican crowd by saying, “Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because her father is Janet Reno.”
If you remember, one month ago when McCain planned to have a fund-raiser hosted by Texan Clayton Williams, voters were reminded that in 1990 Williams compared rape to the weather: “As long as it’s inevitable, you might as well lie back and enjoy it.” (Sounds a bit like McCain himself. Although McCain tried to distance himself from Williams, he ended up holding the fund-raiser with Williams’ list of donors without Williams as the actual host. Big difference.)
Not only does McCain have a sick sense of humor, which we’ve seen demonstrated on many occasions, my female friends tell me they feel that McCain is a misogynist. I tend to agree.
I find it fascinating when an ardent faction of female Hillary supporters say they are going to vote McCain.
As I’ve pointed out so often on this blog, Women should run the other way from McCain. He was stuck recently in trying to respond to a reporter on whether he feels women’s birth control should be covered by health insurance because he supports it covering Viagra. And his Senate voting record on women’s rights is abysmal. If he gets elected and appoints a couple of conservative Supreme Court judges, well watch out Roe V. Wade.
Let me just say this: If I were a woman, would I vote for McCain?… Now that’s a joke. Trust me.

Bruce — I have NO regard for McCain, he has NONE for women. He lacks character and ANY diplomacy. If it wasn’t for Cindy’s $$$ he probably would have left her a long time ago. Look at the way he treated his first wife! McCain is a male anatomy!

McCain is know for his adulterous behavior. He’s been having affairs for years. When it comes to the number of women McCain spends his time with, he is in competition with Bill Clinton. At least Bill Clinton didn’t call Hillary a derogatory name like McCain did to Cindy. He is disgusting. I don’t know how these PUMA people can even consider voting for McCain.
